Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

All manuscripts must be submitted using the Online Submission System on the ICRD Proceeding website https://proceedings.undip.ac.id/index.php/icrd after registering as an Author in the "Register" section. Online submission procedures can be found at the end of this guide.

1.      General Instructions

  • All manuscripts submitted to ICRD Proceeding are manuscript which has presented in ICRD.
  • All manuscript submitted to this proceeding must be written in good English. Authors for whom English is not their native language are encouraged to have their paper be checked before submission for grammar and clarity.
2.     Manuscript Template

Manuscript should be prepared according to the following author guidelines in the MS Word article template format.

3.      Article Preparation Guidelines

3.1    General Preparation

  1. A paper should not exceed 12 pages, including tables and figures (abstract, references/bibliography and acknowledgement excluded).
  2. The manuscript should be written with A4 (210 x 297 mm) page size and with a left margin of 30 mm, a right margin of 30 mm, a lower margin of 25 mm, and a top margin of 25 mm
  3. Articles written in the justify format, using the Arial font size of 9 pt with one column format.
  4. The easiest way to layout your article is by using the ICRD Proceeding template.

3.2    Title

Title should be precise, informative and not too long. Do not mention the name/s of author/s, and her/his/their affiliation in the paper, instead mention it in registration form in proceeding website (to support double-blind review). Email address of the first author should be mentioned for correspondence purposes.

3.3    Table and Figures

  1. Presentation using tables can help explaining discussions more accurately and attractively. This way, presentation can also be shortened.
  2. Tables should be numbered continuously following the presentation order (Table 1, Table 2, and so forth) and should be cited on referred texts
  3. Title of table should be as complete as possible and should be positioned above the table.
  4. Figures are allowed at maximum of 40% of the content. Image with a size of 500 × 800 pixels (height × width). Preferred file types: TIFF, JPG, PNG, PDF, or MS Office files.
  5. All figures, photos and illustration should be numbered continuously according to the presentation order (Figure 1., Figure 2., and so forth) and should be cited on referred texts
  6. Title of figure should be as complete as possible and should be positioned below the figure. All figures should be clear and readable, and no coloured figures are allowed.

3.4    Abstract and Keywords: An abstract should contain no citation. Abstract should not exceed 200 words. Abstraction must describe the content well, include: background of the study, aims of the study, methods, and result of study. Keywords should represent the content and highlight of the article (minimum of 3 keywords).

3.5   Introduction: In introduction, Authors should clearly explain a background of study, including explanation of previous research reviews at the same study location or similar research reviews (literature review), and provide an objectives of the study at the end of introduction section.

3.6   Methods: The method describes the stages of research undertaken to achieve the objectives. In method section, authors should provide an explanation about how data collection techniques (sampling, observation, interview, and questionaires) and analysis is undertaken.

3.7   Results and Discussions: The results should summarize (scientific) findings rather than providing data in great detail. Please emphasize what is new, different, or important about your results and highlight differences between your results or findings and the previous research.

3.8   Conclusion: Conclusions should answer the objectives of the research. Explain how the study advances the field from the present state of knowledge. The conclusion should explain the knowledge gap that has been fulfilled by the study, as well as feedback on the theory that underlies the study.

3.9    Acknowledgment: Recognize those who helped in the research, especially funding supporter of your research. Include individuals who have assisted you in your study: Advisors, Financial supporters, or may another supporter, i.e. Proofreaders, Typists, and Suppliers, who may have given materials. Do not acknowledge one of the authors' names.

3.10  References: It is recommended to use APA 6th Edition format as exampled and use Reference Manager Applications such as EndNote or Mendeley. The references should be reflected the topicality of the article. References should be written in single spacing by using Arial 9 pts and add space after paragraph 6 pts. All citations in the manuscript must be available in the references, and vice-versa.

 

 


 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
