	abstract = {Media has an important role in disseminating information to the public, drama is one example. Chef: Mitsuboshi no Kyushoku successfully represents school lunch activities and shows the cultural values that exist during school lunch activities through a drama. This research explains the representation of school lunch and analyzes the cultural values contained in school lunches in Japan. This research can provide a reference for countries that are new to school lunch activities. This research uses content analysis to examine scene representation and cultural values in school lunch activities. Stuart Hall`s representation theory highlights that representation processes ideas among cultural members, foundational to this research. Based on the research, the drama succeeded in showing how school lunch activities not only show the process of managing quality food, but also as the formation of student character. Also, school lunch activities influence cultural values, social interactions, and positive behavior habituation. This research helps to understand the role of the drama Chef: Mitsuboshi no Kyushoku not only as a representation of school lunch activities, but also a means of cultural recognition. },
